Learn from a booming community
Darja Isaksson was awarded most influential opinion maker in Sweden 2016. "Learning must be organised differently, and learning paths need to be more individualised, edTech is the word for all the technologies needed to make that happen," she says in this interview.
What does edtech mean to you?
We need edtech to reach a goal that I believe is pivotal to creating a sustainable society; We need to increase the individual learning outcome in an order of magnitude. Think about the impact on society when we created public schools from all, or when we opened up higher education to everybody. We need to do that again. But in order to do so, learning must be organised differently, and learning paths need to be more individualised, edTech is the word for all the technologies needed to make that happen.
Why are you coming to EdTech Sweden?
To learn from a booming community of edtech doers, and to share thoughts on how to make the bigger goals a reality. We need to align our vision and agenda from policy to individual teacher practices.
What are your expectations of the day?
To learn new things, discover interesting people and ideas. Networking is an important part of the event. Who are you looking forward to meet? Teachers, school leaders, innovators and policy makers.
